Marjorie Hulbert Obituary

Marjorie June (Nelsen) Hulbert of Mankato Kansas, died August 3, 2020 at the Mitchell Country Hospital. She was born on July25, 1936 to Hans Andrew and Mildred Ethel (Fringer) Nelsen. She was born in Burr Oak, Kansas.

Marjorie graduated from Bur Oak High School, Class of 1954. Marjorie married Myron Eugene Hulbert on July 18, 1953 in Nelson, Nebraska.

She loved to crochet, reading and camping. She was a housewife and mother of 3 children before starting to work. She worked at the Jewell County Hospital as a nurse and Med Aid until she retired in 1994 with over 20 years if service. She helped her husband with the billing for Hulbert Repair.

Survivors include her daughter Marilyn K. Caffee, Colcord, OK, daughter and son-in-law Mildred (Chris) & Jeff LaClair of Black Forest, CO, son Max E. Hulbert of Mankato, KS. She had seven grandchildren: Katherine (Seel) Shoat, Herbert Seel, Solomon Seel, Ronald E. Gould III, Aaron T. LaClair, Melissa (Hulbert) Imler, and Bradley E Hulbert: seventeen great grandchildren, he sister Myrtle (Nelsen) Roe and brother Donald Nelsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Myron E. Hulbert, and her sister Betty Andreasen.

There will be visitation Kleppinger Funeral Home, 409 Broadway, Jewell, Ks 66949 on August 12th from 2pm-5pm. The family will be will be receiving friends from 4-5pm.

There will a graveside service at Shaffer Cemetery on August 13 2020 at 2pm, 10 1/2 miles north of Mankato, KS.

Memorial contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Harmony Methodist Church, Jewell County Hospital or Jewell Country Cancer Fund.
