Darlene P. (Brown) Thompson

Darlene P. Thompson, age 84, of Jewell, Kansas passed away October 8,
2018 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas. She was born July
4, 1934 in Superior, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Boyd Brown and
Pearl H. (Norwood) Brown. On August 22nd, 1954 she married William
Gene “Bill” Thompson. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was
a member of the Jewell Christian Church, Jewell Chamber of Commerce,
Red Hat Society, and Brownscreek Garden Club and CWF. She was a
former member of the Salem United Methodist Church and UMW. She
was a graduate of the Class of 1952, Loveland, Colorado.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Elaine Spellman (Les) – Salina, Kansas
Nadine Champlin (Bob) – Sabetha, Kansas, Becky Bolte (Mike) – Jewell,
Kansas 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister Helen
Hart.

Visitation will Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at
Kleppinger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. –
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Thursday, October
11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating.
Memorial contributions are to the Jewell Christian Church and interment
